Today we are going to discuss the interesting topic of “Work Life Balance”.
It is the art of mastering work and personal life. You should enjoy both so there is NO space for stress.
How to classify tasks in both spectrums into PRIORITY, URGENT & IMPORTANT
I know it all sounds the same
If task is urgent and primarily driven, it should be dealt immediately
Other tasks may be important but have a time frame, and this can be done with more time.
Priority should be handled daily whatever comes first.
Therefore, ask yourself simple questions like
Your “Bread and butter” is this priority, urgent or Important?
Career and financial growth is your ambition so is this priority, important or urgent?
Your long-term professional goal is your priority, but if you are in your late 40s or 50s then it should be spaced on urgent basis, Super priority plus important because we are in race with time and age.
Also, it depends, how you are charged when you arrive at the office, and able to handle maximum challenges /pressure in smart ways or hard ways?
Sometimes It’s like tug of war between office meetings and personal life
To meet the deadline of the work or to attend the family functions? there should be flexibility and advance planning.
Set your daily priority, important tasks, and allow some space/time slot in between for urgent tasks also, work across the spectrum to make it easy.
That means one should master the Time management and allow to cope with both ends. again, work Smart.
In crises, especially IT, or higher-ranking employees have to work after hours, then do so with pleasant attitude, that’s what you chose to be! also, appreciate your effort and expertise.
We know work and family both are priority and important. If you have a good job with great salary & perks you can give your family a great life with luxuries, good education, vacations etc.
Certainly, family will understand your work-responsibility and co-operate with your work-life.
Decide, you want to be survivor or successful in this real world?
If you are stressed or tired, divert to other pleasant activities and move on but do not quit.
I will highlight on work life with Time management or mismanaged so please don’t miss out.

- No. 1 Digital world:
Its same as technology gap: where companies adapt new technology for their advancement or better future.
Which We bring into our life for family, friends and colleagues, with modern phone, computer, amenities are the way of life now.
In modern society we want to perform with high speed, countless Apps and electronic devices …. we get glue to it, in this race/competition, we invite stress and forget the normalcy.
Again, think priority, urgent and important these 3 words should be embedded.
- No.2 Social Media: consumes a lot of time. sometimes we just hooked to it without having any meaning and detach from the family.
- No.3 Gender: equality or inequality, we in progressive world so can’t afford inequality, women being financial supporter and manage household responsibilities, this also creates tension and stress at home. The responsibility should be distributed to 50-50 to make home happier and pleasant.
- No.4 Hobbies: most important aspects of our life, which is my favourite too! pursue Hobby, leisure activities, sports, Yoga, reading, art, entertainment, spirituality, meditation this will work as a best stress buster
So manage to take out at least 2-4 hours in a week to reward yourself.
- Eventually all the above leads to time management, advanced planning and execution which is most important.
- Work life balance should be a conscious habit and not the stress.
