Mental Health Awareness – Stigma

Why make us suffer due to the Stigma?

It should simply be considered as part of our health and wellbeing and not be separated from general health issues.

For physical health issues people take initiative and move forward themselves by contacting a physician, but for any Mental Health issue we wait for someone to encourage us to go and see a professional! Why?

Health is health physically or mentally we need both in balance manner.

For Mental Health – when person suffers from severe illness is non-functional or not functioning in an appropriate manner in his routines or sometimes cause problems in the family, only then family or friends think to approach professional and mainly just want medication to calm down or suppressed the situation.

What do you think why do we have stigma associated with mental health?

May be due to the societal status or norms we set, or some boundaries that it will affect carrier education, life will be difficult so again its misperception?

There are people who suffered from mental health issues and treated on time and moved on with the life.

I would suggest Rather Honor yourself then suffering due to the STIGMA of how will you be seen by the “society” or your beloved community?
