Happy Mother’s day
This message is for all the remarkable mothers out there, who possess the qualities of love and compassion to take care of their beloved ones. Being a mother is not just limited to giving birth, it’s about nurturing and being there for your child, whether it’s your parents, grandparents, nieces, nephews, aunts, or siblings – no matter what their age or condition may be. The bond of motherhood is selfless and extends beyond society’s norms and values to provide comfort and care to those in need of it. We salute all such souls who are truly serving as mothers in every sense of the word.
Yet we celebrate their existence and appreciate only twice a year as Mother’s Day and Women’s Day but in fact, she doesn’t wait for these 2 days to do her duties, her duties are all year round being supportive. This also includes a single father who looks after his children as mother figure in the house. This should be nurtured throughout life and not just as the event of the year.
Let me add some psychological point of view here:
It is truly heartbreaking to see some of our clients view their connection with their mothers as an emotional burden. So many of them have shared their challenging childhoods, and in doing so, have expressed feelings of blame towards their mothers for pushing them to succeed or adhere to certain standards. It is clear that these experiences carry considerable weight and cause significant distress. We understand the pain and heaviness that these emotions can bring, and we are here to provide support and empathy.
However, we must remind ourselves that we live in an era of advanced technology and modern amenities, which our mothers did not have access to. Our mothers’ sacrifices and efforts have played a significant role in shaping our lives and getting us to where we are today. Let us empathize with our clients and reflect on the love and care that our mothers have poured into us.
As a loving parent, one always wants the best for their children. Sometimes, we might make decisions based on their experiences and what they believe to be the right thing to do. It is only natural for a mother to want to protect her children from any kind of pain or struggle. Therefore, if there were any unfulfilled dreams or difficult experiences in her own life, she would never want her children to endure the same hardships. A mother’s intentions are always rooted in love and the desire to see their children thrive.
It’s difficult to let go of past hurts, no matter your age. It’s heartbreaking to hear someone say, “I’ve forgiven them,” because it means they carried that pain with them for far too long. But if you have the strength to forgive others, you also have the strength to forgive yourself for holding onto that grudge and misunderstanding for so long. Remember to show yourself the same empathy and kindness you show others. Let go of that baggage and move forward with a lighter heart.
It’s hard for these children who are now adult, hard to believe that mother also have her life, specifically when she was divorced and gets Re-married, children feel she has abandoned them which is not true in majority cases.
Whereas there are some groups who feels that when mother was strict, they have achieved some great goal in their life and now understands why she was strict.
Cheer presence of your mother/mother figure as an asset and feel fortunate to have her around you!
Mothers, heed this warning: depression can affect anyone, including you and your loved ones. Take charge and educate your family on this serious issue.
